Austin, Gianna and I left on Friday the 11th of this month for our week long vacation in Wyoming. We drove down to LA and stayed with my good friends Teresa and Dave who so graciously took us to the airport (and kept our car for the week saving us $$) Friday night. We then flew out of Burbank Saturday morning to Oakland, then from Oakland to Boise, Idaho. Gianna did amazingly well on the plane (as always!). We stayed in Boise overnight, where I introduced Austin to a little place called the Chuck Wagon, YUMMY! We then drove across the entire state of Idaho, stopping in Twin Falls for church, to Idaho Falls. We went to dinner at a Cafe Rio (my favorite place in Provo, UT that has now branched out) and had a nice time walking around the Idaho Falls Temple.
Monday started the Wyoming portion of our trip :) We spent 3 nights in Jackson Hole, WY where we were able to enjoy the Grand Tetons and all it's wildlife. We also took a day in Yellowstone National Park. On Thursday we drove from Jackson Hole to Cody, WY which took us again through Yellowstone. The main purpose of this trip was to attend Austin's family reunion (and we had a GREAT time getting to know all of his Dad's side of the family he had never really gotten a chance to spend time with). We hung out at a ranch and went to a rodeo and were able to spend time enjoying the families company. We are SO glad we went!
On Saturday afternoon we left the reunion and drove from Cody, WY through Yellowstone, Montana, and the entire state of Idaho to get back to Boise as our flight left Sunday morning at 8am.
We had such an amazing time and we can't wait to go back to Wyoming and the parks, and to spend more time with the awesome family that we got to meet/see while we were there!
