We had a great time down in LA for Austin's birthday this past week. We drove down Tuesday night and stopped in Oxnard to register at Babies R Us (you can log on to Babiesrus.com to view it :) Then we headed down to Disneyland. We stayed at a hotel 2 blocks from the parks which was very convenient! We also brought Bella along with us and she stayed in the Disneyland kennels while we were in the parks Wednesday. I think that the last picture sums up how Austin's birthday went.
No.. that beautiful blonde is not me.. Austin had to use the bathroom so we went up the exit of Space Mountain and I waited outside. Right as Austin went in the bathroom this blonde girl and a "posse" of people walked right in front of me and I thought.. Hmmm.. she looks familiar.. then it hit me.. it was Bridget from The Girls Next Door! This is a show that I have been known to watch from time to time and Austin has never really been a fan of it. However, he couldn't believe that she had walked right by after he had left! So, we waited from them to come out of the ride (I guess celebrities get taken in the back way) and sure enough.. 5 minutes later out she walked. We both couldn't decide if we would say anything or not, but no one else was recognizing her. So my brave husband asked her as she walked by if we could take a picture with her. She was SO nice! She stopped and took pictures with both of us (the flash didn't go off on mine). We were just so amazed that no one else was recognizing her (she was also with her sister who had been on the show several times.. we didn't get a picture with her though). So Austin's first celebrity sighting was a Playboy Bunny (and not just a bunny.. one of Hugh Heffner's old girl friends!) Let's just say it made his birthday!!
